Our Air Conditioning Services
Here's what we handle as your air conditioning contractor. Each service has its own page with more detail.
AC repair
Warm air, odd noises or an AC that won't start. We find the real problem and fix it. Our $90 service call goes toward the repair.
AC maintenance
A yearly tune-up catches small problems early, before they turn into a breakdown in July.
AC installation
We install Rheem and American Standard systems. Every new install comes with a free UV light kit.
Ductless mini splits
A mini split cools a room without ductwork. We install and repair them.
Thermostat installation
We install smart thermostats, and we offer thermostat repair when one stops working.
New system pricing
Thinking about a new system? Start with our pricing page. We also offer free estimates on new systems.
On every visit, we do a full system check to spot problems early, like dirty filters or low refrigerant. We focus on energy-saving options that fit Central Florida's hot weather.
A heat pump cools like an AC and heats in winter. See heat pump installation to learn more.
How to Check an AC Contractor in Florida
A new AC system is a big purchase. Before you hire an air conditioning contractor, check these four things. It only takes a few minutes.
- Look up the license. Florida requires a state license for AC contractors. Use the "Verify a License" search on MyFloridaLicense.com. Our license number is CAC1822192.
- Ask about insurance. Ask for proof of liability insurance and workers' comp before any work starts.
- Make sure a permit gets pulled. Replacing an AC system needs a permit, and the work must meet the Florida Building Code, now in its 8th Edition (2023). Under Florida law, the city or county checks that the contractor is licensed or registered before it issues one. If a contractor asks you to pull the permit yourself, ask why.
- Get it in writing. Your quote should list the price, the equipment and what's included.
Do you need a Notice of Commencement?
This form protects you from paying twice if a contractor doesn't pay a supplier. Many homeowners get asked about it. In Florida, it isn't required to repair or replace an existing AC system when the contract is under $15,000. Bigger projects may need one, so ask your contractor.
Repair or Replace? An Honest Answer
Some companies turn a routine visit into a sales pitch. Florida homeowners online have described a tune-up on an older system that ended with a $20,000 quote and a "sign today" discount. Others say they paid many times the going rate for refrigerant.
That's why getting a second opinion is smart. Here's how we handle it.
How we decide with you
- We find the real problem first. Our $90 service call covers that, and it goes toward the repair.
- We explain what's wrong in plain words.
- You get the price before any work starts, with no hidden fees.
- If a repair makes sense, we say so.
Signs it may be time to replace
- Your system is over 10 to 15 years old.
- It needs repairs again and again.
- It can't keep your home cool on hot days.
- It uses R-22 refrigerant. R-22 hasn't been made or imported in the U.S. since January 1, 2020, so repairs that need more of it can cost more.
Do you have to replace an R-410A system?
No. New home AC systems made since 2025 use newer refrigerants like R-454B. But your R-410A system can still be serviced and repaired. In 2026, the EPA also dropped its deadline for installing R-410A systems built before 2025. A working system doesn't need to be replaced because of the refrigerant change.
If a new system is the right call, we offer a price match guarantee on new systems. Financing is available through Wisetack, and qualifying homes can use the Florida P.A.C.E. Program. See air conditioner installation for how an install works.
Air Conditioning for Small Businesses
We repair, maintain and install AC for small businesses like shops and restaurants. A hot store or kitchen can cost you customers. We work on light commercial systems only. We don't service chillers or large industrial equipment.
